The Jerusalem Institute for Biblical Exploration is a non-profit association of scholars and clergy. We explore the Bible through study of the text and study of the Land. It is our belief that in order to understand the Bible, a student or a person of faith must be familiar with the Three "L's". These are:

 

     The Land of the Bible
     The Languages of the people of the Bible
     The Literature of the Biblical period
