Travel to the Lands of the Bible

The Jerusalem Institute for Biblical Exploration offers the opportunity to experience the Scripture in a unique way. In the words of one of our late faculty members, "Five gospels record the life of Jesus. Four you will find in books and one you will find in the land they call holy. Read the fifth gospel and the world of the four will open to you."

Why We Are Different

Programs offered by the Jerusalem Institute go beyond the traditional tours. First, we work with one of the most respected travel organizations in the country to assure participants of comfort, excellent accommodations and experience in travel arrangements. And that is just the beginning.

Our teachers go beyond the basics to offer insights born out of years of study in the land of the bible. Every Jerusalem Institute itinerary is accompanied by an experienced teacher who travels with the group giving insights that are beyond the range of traditional tour guides. Our teachers are scholars, pastors and archaeologists with a synergistic knowledge from the land and the bible. Dr. Charles Page, author and archaeologist, oversees each itinerary with care to glean the maximum from every opportunity. On many archaeological sites, the teacher with the groups has participated in the excavation and is intimately acquainted with the findings. Because of our relationship with the Antiquities Authority of Israel, the Israel Exploration Society and the American School of Oriental Research, our teaching faculty has access to many important sites not open to the general public and conventional tour companies.

Travel to the lands of the Bible can be arranged by groups (such as seminaries and churches) or individuals may participate in one of our shared itineraries.
